Dell $250 ZIP Code Lookup
Check the estimated income threshold for the Dell $250 gift, then confirm the remaining conditions with the program.
Enter a five-digit ZIP. Missing data is never treated as eligibility.
What this tool checks
We compare a Census area's median family income with the $150,000 limit for Michael and Susan Dell's gift. The program's checker specifies children born in 2016–2024 and the 2020–2024 ACS dataset. It also requires a valid SSN and limits the gift to the first 25 million activated accounts. Our tool does not reserve money, access an account, or determine official eligibility.
Check the data behind your result
Source: U.S. Census Bureau, 2020–2024 ACS, table B19113. We use median family income and its 90% margin of error. The file contains 33,772 ZCTAs, including 3,722 with suppressed or unavailable estimates. Built September 18, 2026. Our downloadable dataset includes source metadata and a checksum of the Census file.
A ZIP Code Tabulation Area (ZCTA) is a statistical area, not a postal delivery route. New ZIPs, PO-box ZIPs, and places without a usable estimate can return unknown. We do not replace missing data with a state average or assume that it passes. Household income and family income are different measures; this comparison uses family income, as specified by the program.
How to read your result
| Result | Next step |
|---|---|
| At or below $150,000 | The estimate passes the income threshold. Confirm birth year, SSN, and gift availability with the program. |
| Above $150,000 | The estimate exceeds the threshold. Check the program's own result before ruling out the gift. |
| Unknown | We have no usable estimate. Use the program's checker; this is not a rejection. |
When the margin of error crosses $150,000, we flag that uncertainty. It does not automatically change the program's eligibility rule. Census values of $250,000 or more are shown as a lower bound rather than an exact income.
Worked examples from the dataset
ZCTA 02920 has an estimated median family income of $108,062 with a ±$7,001 margin of error. ZCTA 10007 is in the $250,000-or-more category. The code 00000 has no record, so we never label it eligible. These are area-level examples, not individual financial recommendations.
After checking your ZIP
- Confirm your child's details with the program's checker.
- Use our opening and activation guide to understand the steps, then complete them through the official portal.
- If the account is active but a gift is missing, follow the deposit troubleshooting guide. A result here does not confirm a payment.
We do not need your household's personal income or your child's SSN. This lookup runs in your browser using the same public file for every visitor. Our growth calculator can model hypothetical contributions; do not treat an estimated gift as money received until the program confirms it.
Method and source reviewed . Independent estimate; the program's determination controls.
