Regional and national benefits in one place
Our former state tracker is now part of this directory so regional and national programs share the same source standards. The Dalio announcement covers Connecticut; Kraken's announcement covers Wyoming. These are private commitments, not automatically state-funded benefits available to everyone. An absent region means we have not documented a program here, not that none exists.
What the status labels mean
Announcement confirmed means a specific source confirms a commitment but important details remain missing. Details published means the source describes an amount and eligible group, but individual availability is not guaranteed. Neither label confirms a deposit in your account. The availability notes explain what is still unknown.
Before adding a benefit to your plan
- Ask whether the amount is per employee or per child, annual or one-time.
- Request employment and age requirements, the effective date, and election instructions.
- Confirm account activation and how the beneficiary is securely identified.
- Track deposits from every contributor against the applicable annual limit.
For example, a $1,500 employer contribution plus $300 monthly from family totals $5,100 in one year. If both count toward the ordinary $5,000 cap, the family has $3,500 of remaining room: approximately $291.66 monthly, with a final cents adjustment. An unavailable pledge should not be counted as money received.
Rules and sources
Treasury's employer-contribution guidance describes written plans, notices, and employer obligations. The $2,500 employer exclusion is per employee across dependents, not per child. See our contribution rules and contribution planner to coordinate deposits. Sponsor eligibility and federal tax treatment are separate questions.
We check sources when updating the directory and show a date for each record. We do not promise weekly checks. If a source changes, send the URL and correction through our editorial page. Do not send SSNs, passwords, or identity documents.
